Our Story

The idea for Ancient Grounds sparked a couple years ago when we were just old friends meeting up over a cup of coffee. The main topic was if we started our own shop, what would it be? Could we stand out amongst the Windy City brewing community. What would the setting feel like walking in for the first time? We left that day with not just an idea, but a purpose to fulfill.

Our primary purpose is to build community through good coffee, good food with great friends.  Our concept is to focus on quality blends with an inviting aroma and unmatched taste to leave every person with a smile. 

Our desire is to bring to the neighborhood a cuisine that will intrigue connoisseurs with elevated coffee, and delectable sandwiches.
